Our vineyard features old vine Zinfandel, planted in the mid-20th Century. The vines sit in the lower hills of the east side of Dry Creek Valley.
The Summer's morning fog stays several hundred feet below the vines, so the grapes can mature and ripen magnificently in the sun. After lunch, cool breezes make sure they don't get too hot. The benchland site of the vineyard is made up of gravel, sand, silt, and clay. This provides the well-drained alluvial soil that vines love.
Laura Michael Wines makes beautiful red Zinfandel wine from the hand grown and picked grapes.
